Dr. Abdurehiman Tharayil

Dr. Abdurehiman Tharayil is a specialist pulmonologist with over 8 years of clinical experience. He completed his undergraduate medical training (MBBS) in 2009. He began his postgraduate training (MD) in Pulmonary Medicine in 2016 at Meenakshi Medical College, Tamil Nadu, India. He was trained and worked as a Senior Resident under some of the most well-known professors in the field of Pulmonary Medicine at PK Das Institute of Medical Sciences, Palakkad, India.
 

He has gained extensive experience in managing both routine and complex pulmonary disorders such as asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, interstitial lung diseases (ILD), lung infections, lung cancers, and sleep-disordered breathing. He was also involved in critical care management, including mechanical ventilation. Additionally, he has been trained in interventional procedures such as flexible bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and intercostal tube drainage, including pleurodesis.
 

Before moving to the UAE, Dr. Abdurehiman worked for four and a half years as a Specialist and Consultant Pulmonologist at various super-specialty hospitals in Kerala, India, where he managed a wide range of respiratory diseases.

He has published articles and case reports in national journals and has presented cases at state and national-level conferences. He is also an active member of the Academy of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (APCCM) and the Indian Medical Association (IMA).
